The political economy has corrupted our institutions: parliaments, congress, regulators, the law, corporations, NGOs, think tanks and science.
To science bloggers living with mommy by Jon Rappoport
“The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness…" - Richard Horton, editor-in-chief, The Lancet
This is not a call for the refutation of science but an exhortation not to accept claims (particularly in media) which purport to have the backing or imprimatur of "science" without verifying those claims against independent research. Medical science is controlled by corporations that profit from it. The Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) is controlled by the Structural Elite - the climate change agenda is another means of wealth extraction while persuading human beings to farm themselves.
The only way to know what's true is to look for yourself. And remember, science is never settled. "No amount of experimentation can prove me right, one experiment can prove me wrong." - Albert Einstein
Science is an area where application of Bertrand Russell's Liberal Decalogue is vital, especially:
5. Have no respect for the authority of others, for there are always contrary authorities to be found.
6. Do not use power to suppress opinions you think pernicious, for if you do the opinions will suppress you.
