At last night's Critical Thinking session, Chris Coverdale explained why paying taxes is a criminal act under UK terrorism legislation and international law. His observations were made in the context of a broader discussion of using the system to change the system.
Immediately before 9/11, the 2000 Terrorism Act made it an offence ot support terrorism and in 2013, the UK Supreme Court confirmed that the UK government was guilty of offences under the act. In paying taxes, we are accessories to the crime.
