Following previous attempts to paint the Assad regime in the worst possible light to justify war, the latest "story" has been released in the midst of attempts to get the protagonists in the Syrian civil war to talk to each other. However, excluding Iran from the peace talks demonstrates a reluctance, on the part of the US and its allies, to see these talks succeed.
